This morning was glorious. Blue sky and sunshine but with rain forecast. We set out to do what we could, Daphne, Les and I. We worked for 7.25 hours between us and finished shortly before the rain began.

I was really pleased with the effects of last years work. Where there were areas so totally full of balsam that we could pull it up in handfulls it is now necessary to pull up the individuals they are so thinly spread. This means that there is less to show for the time spent but ensuring that what has germinated this year is completely cleared is the key to enduring results. I really feel that this can be beaten and our area restored to its native habitat.

Please come and join us on Saturdays and Sundays. We work from 10am if the weather permits. Come along to Higher Tremarcoombe, if the barrow is on the grass we are working somewhere so just shout. For satnav the post code is PL14 5HP
